

For those passionate about the arts, Idyllwild Arts offers 1- and 2-week opportunities for participants to immerse themselves in art and hone their skills in a specific field. Located at a boarding school in Idyllwild, CA, you'll select an arts workshop that you'll focus on, learn from professional artists, and work alongside fellow passionate students. Workshops vary amongst the visual, performing, literary, and interdisciplinary arts.

Participant Mix: Mix of students from all over the country, some who are returning Idyllwild students. You may or may not have other Summer Searchers with you

Transportation: Summer Search will coordinate your flight and for Idyllwild to take you to and from the airport

Select a workshop to explore, learn about, and hone your skills during your stay at Idyllwild

Participate in 3-hour workshops in the mornings and afternoons that are dedicated to developing your skills in your chosen area of art

Enjoy free time in the evenings and weekends to participate in lighter activities, rehearse or get in some studio time, or hang out with your fellow peers.

Although Idyllwild is a learning environment that is supportive of both new and experienced artists, a few programs do require prior experience and/or a video audition

These programs include: Dance Intensive, Instrumental Arts Intensive, Musical Theatre Intensive, Jazz in the Pines Student Clinic, and Songwriting intensive

Theatre Intensive: The Play's the Thing is an open enrollment course (which means everyone gets accepted), but they do ask for a video monologue.
