This website helps you learn more about Summer Search summer experiences, so you can feel prepared to fill out the summer experience survey! As a sophomore, your summer experience will likely be an outdoor experience. We do not expect you to have any outdoor experience, and all of our programs are great for first-time adventurers. That's why we try to put as much information as possible into this site! The pages linked below explain what outdoor activities you might do, who our program partners are, etc. Though it's a lot of information, we want to make sure you don't feel confused about anything. We highly recommend taking your time to read through the info linked below.

As you're taking a look at the pages linked below, here are some questions to keep in mind...

• What trips are standing out to me? Why?

• What does my summer look like? Am I anticipating other summer plans, like vacations, birthdays, summer school, etc? If so, what dates am I unavailable for a Summer Search summer experience?

• What outdoor activities stand out to me? How am I feeling about water activities?

• What am I feeling nervous about? How do I feel when I imagine being away from home?

• What physical & mental health information does Summer Search need to know to make sure I'm on a summer trip that fits my abilities?

• What questions or concerns does me or my family have about summer experiences?

The survey we sent with your enrollment materials will take about 30-45 minutes, and you can't save as you go. Please make sure you have put aside enough time to complete the survey in one sitting! Before you start, here is some information you may want to gather:

- Your mentor's name

- Your comfort and interest in water activities

- Your summer goals, strengths, what you're nervous about, what it might feel like to be away from home (in short answer form)

- Your summer schedule, with specific date restrictions (if you know it)* - Your health history - injuries, physical & mental health conditions

- Clothing and shoe sizes

- How you'll get to and from our Outdoor Readiness Event event on May 3*

- Any questions you or your family have*
