Complete all these items to prepare for your Junior Experience!
Please note, many items need to be completed by a specific date; otherwise, you may not be able to participate in your experience.

Learn about all our Partners and how they might help you achieve your goals!
chat with your family
Keep your family in the loop! Research options with your family and talk them about which one's your interested in.
mentor check-ins
Talk regularly with your mentor about your summer experience including your hopes, concerns and next steps.
We encourage you to talk with your mentor at least twice before filling out the Summer Experience Survey.
complete your summer experience survey (BY 1/10)
This is the only way to let the Summer Experience Team know what you want to do this summer!
APPLY TO YOUR PROGRAM (BY 3/6)
Research and talk with your mentor about how to apply
APPLY FOR passport OR REAL ID (BY 3/6 - OR EARLIER!)
Apply for a passport or REAL ID (if needed) - it can nearly 3 months to receive a passport!
This is a super important! If you do not have a passport by the time you leave for your experience, you won't be able to go!
ATTEND workshoPS or info sessions
Attend any pre-experience workshops or info sessions assigned for your program. Dates and workshops vary based on your program - make sure to carefully review all your application materials!
complete secondary paperwork (by 5/3)
Complete all secondary paperwork for your program and/or schedule a physical if your program requires one
send-off conversation
Have a goodbye talk with your mentor 2-3 weeks before your trip
