Summer high school institute at university of the pacific

The University of the Pacific's Pre-College Summer Program offers high school students a unique opportunity to experience college life before they graduate. Participants can select from a 50+ academic courses across various disciplines, with dedicated and experienced instructors. They'll have a taste of campus living and meet peers, all while gaining essential skills for the transition to college and beyond. It's an enjoyable and enriching way to learn and prepare for the future.

  • Dates:

    • June 1 - June 12

    • June 16 - June 27

​

  • Participant Mix: Mix of students from all over. You may or may not have another Summer Searcher on your same Summer Session.

  • Transportation: Summer Search will support with transportation, if needed

  • Accommodations: Dorms, sharing a room with other participant(s)

​

  • Bathrooms: Shared dorm bathrooms

​

  • Phone Access: You'll have your phone throughout the program

PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

  • Choose from a variety of academic courses, such as science, arts, business, and more

  • Hands-on learning through labs, projects, and workshops

  • Some programs include field trips to local attractions, museums, or businesses to enhance students' understanding of the subject matter and provide real-world exposure

  • Social activities, such as movie nights, talent shows, or outings to nearby attractions
