Washington Business Week

Washington Business Week (WBW) is an educational program designed to empower high school students with real-world professional experience. During this week-long immersive event, participants engage in a variety of hands-on activities. Through teamwork, mentorship from industry professionals, and exposure to career-related concepts, students gain valuable insights into the professional world and foster their leadership abilities. Washington Business Week aims to prepare young minds for future success in the business world by providing a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

  • With a small team, lead business simulations that tackle real-world challenges

  • Participate in collaborative projects

  • Learn practical skills in marketing, financial decision-making, and business operations

  • Receive mentoring from business professionals on how to improve your business or move it to the next level

  • Take on a leadership role in your business and learn what it’s like to be in a decision making role like, CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), or CMO (Chief Marketing Officer)

  • Teamwork: Work with others on projects and simulations to build teamwork skills

  • Mentorship: Get advice and guidance from experienced professionals

  • Problem-Solving: Learn to solve real problems faced by businesses and industries

  • Connected Learning: See how business is linked in the world today

  • Have or able to get a valid government-issued ID (either an unexpired REAL ID or passport)

  • Am looking to learn what it's like to live on a college campus

  • Want to learn more and explore the business field

  • Am looking to build connections with industry professionals and like-minded peers

  • Want to develop leadership skills and self-confidence
